NEBOSH Environmental Awareness at Work qualification now available in Arabic

Training

This introductory-level qualification is suitable for employees at all levels, is now available in Arabic after increasing demand

It is ideal for organisations that are implementing or maintaining an environmental management system and meets a key requirement for ISO 14001.

It provides understanding of environmental impacts, responsibility, and risk control, and can be tailored to specific industry or company requirements.

The one-day programme aims to raise awareness of environmental impacts as well as risk-control measures and is assessed by a multiple-choice examination.

By making the qualification available in Arabic, even more people will be able to make a contribution to help their organisations reduce waste, improve energy efficiency, achieve cost savings and help protect the environment.

Matthew Powell-Howard, NEBOSH Qualifications Development Manager, said: “The rapid economic development of many Arabic speaking countries – such as the UAE – presents a variety of  environmental challenges such as air pollution, waste management and high carbon footprints.

The Environmental Awareness at Work qualification helps all kinds of organisations to give their employees a greater understanding of environmental issues and how to manage them. By making it available in Arabic, we hope it will be even more accessible to businesses wanting to make positive changes to their environmental impact.”

For students wishing to develop their skills further, the NEBOSH Environmental Awareness at Work qualification is an ideal entry route for progression to NEBOSH’s Certificate in Environmental Management. This higher level qualification provides a more extensive and practical understanding of environmental management in the workplace.

The Environmental Awareness at Work qualification will be available in Arabic from 24 November 2017. For more information and to find a course provider, visit https://www.nebosh.org.uk/EAW
