Axis Communications launches new security systems

Axis Communications recently announced the introduction of two new security offerings for the Middle East market

During a product launch event in Dubai, the intelligent security solution provider unveiled the Axis Camera Station S10 Recorder Series and the Access Control security system.

Introduced by Ettiene Van Der Watt, regional engineering and training manager at Axis Middle East & Africa and Ajith Surendran, sales engineer at Axis Middle East, the S10 Series was described as an “out of the box ready recording solution”, made up of a series of network video recorders for high definition (HD) surveillance.

The preconfigured system also comes preloaded with fully-licensed software, and is capable of providing surveillance of up to 64 channels for mid-sized installations.

The company said the Access Control system avoided the disadvantages of traditional proprietary systems, such as limited options, central servers with complex and expensive cabling, and restricted possibilities for integration and scalability.

“The introduction of the new products in the Middle East is considered a significant step in the network video industry,” said Van Der Watt. “It is part of our promise to keep offering the latest technologies and products to reach to all our customer segments and provide them with the best security solutions and services.”
