UAE classification society Tasneef has agreed to collaborate with Tawazun Dynamics to promote safety and security
Under the terms of the deal, the Abu Dhabi-based body will provide logistical support to Tawazun in order to help ensure that the company’s products are compatible with the standards and requirements of the Abu Dhabi Occupational Health and Safety Center (OSHAD).
Tasneef CEO Rashed Al Hebsi said the support will entail the preparation of “an integrated system that provides safe and healthy work spaces and keeps up with the plans and programmes of comprehensive development, in line with the best international standards.”
The contract is the second such deal between the two organisations, following the signing of the first cooperation agreement in August 2014.
“The first agreement between Tasneef and Tawazun…aimed to raise the efficiency of security, quality and safety within specific sectors in Tawazun,” said Al Hebsi.
Following the deal, Tawazun “was able to successfully receive the centre’s accreditation but, for this accreditation to be sustainable,” Al Hebsi explained, “there was a need to sign the new agreement, which can be considered an extension of the 2014 agreement.”
Tawazun provides design, maintenance, supply and manufacturing solutions for the precision targeting munitions sector.
