industry 2630319 640Software AG and du, of Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (EITC), have signed a partnership to provide their business customers with a subscription licensing model for IoT services

The strategic collaboration enables Software AG and du to address complex IoT implementations for UAE organisations. These companies will benefit from the rapid application development features, reduced deployment time, and out of the box IoT analytics and dashboards to see the complete picture of their IoT data.

The partnership will empower customers with agility and flexibility to freely design, build, deploy and upgrade IoT applications, combining cloud, on-premise, and edge deployment models.

The platform will drive IoT across major government, healthcare, utility, manufacturing, transportation, and automotive industries. These companies can track assets and improve logistics, or collect data from smart city applications to make life easier for the people. They can also improve service by automating manual functions for their customers, from meter readings to safety measures.

Farid Faraidooni, deputy CEO – enterprise solutions, EITC, said, “The move will bolster UAE’s IoT adoption across SMEs, large organisations and the government. This reflects our efforts to enhance the UAE’s position as a regional innovation hub.”

Philippe La Fornara, president EMEA, Software AG, said, “IoT services can help organisations to not only achieve more significant insights into their business but also to build their digital resilience. Data is the heartbeat of a business today, so the task of gathering, analysing and acting upon it should be a top priority.

In line with the initiative, in the coming months, du and Software AG will be launching a new IoT academy and an experience centre. The opening is part of the drive to accelerate the country’s adoption of IoT while remaining on top of IoT innovation methodologies, best practices and applications as the ecosystem continues to evolve.
