The Dubai Municipality and the Health and Safety Executive of Great Britain, HSE, have signed a MoU agreement to collaborate on occupational health and safety systems by considering and implementing relevant regulations
The agreement was signed by Khalid Sharif Al Awadhi, executive director of the environment, health and safety control sector at Dubai Municipality, and Mike Day, commercial director of the HSE.
As reported in the Emirates News Agency (WAM), Al Awadhi said that the continued cooperation between the municipality and local and international authorities are expected to boost exchange of experiences and knowledge in health and safety sector.
Valid for a period of three years, the MoU will focus on promoting such exchange of information on regulatory activities, occupational safety, health practices and mutual visits, as well as the participation of staff and experts in conferences, symposia, seminars and events, added the source.
Commenting on the collaboration with Dubai Municipality, Day stressed that it aims to extend expertise and experiences with various cities around the world, exploring new solutions to health and safety, thus enhancing occupational health and safety initiatives worldwide.
