Polyco launches new nitrile disposable glove

UK-based technical glove manufacturer Polyco recently added a new disposable glove to its Bodyguards range

The powder-free, disposable GL901 White Nitrile is certified to Medical Standard EN455 Class 1, providing reliable protection against chemical splashes, the company said.

With textured fingertips for extra grip, the GL901 is made from nitrile synthetic rubber, an extremely soft material with high elasticity and a tensile strength comparable to natural rubber.

The new model, however, contains none of the proteins that are present in natural rubber, eliminating protein sensitisation in sensitive skin, and is powder-free, reducing the risk of product contamination.

The cuff is also rolled in order to further add to its strength and prevent and potential liquid rollback.

The GL901, with an AQL rating of 1.5, is a versatile glove, and has been tested in accordance with EN1186 making it suitable for food contact, as well as protecting against micro-organisms (EN374-2) and chemical permeation (EN374-3).

Polyco said the glove can be used in construction; waste management; manufacturing; laboratory and pharmaceutical; and oil and gas; as well as for medical and veterinary purposes.
