VIVA Bahrain hosts cybersecurity and personal data protection law dialogue

The dialogue was attended by senior executives from leading government and financial institutions to discuss the importance of cybersecurity and personal data protection regulations in today’s digital business environment.

Through such dialogue sessions, VIVA Bahrain continues its commitment towards being an integral part in the kingdom’s digital transformation and the nation’s cybersecurity maturity by being a major contributor in reforming Bahrain’s policies, strategies, regulations and frameworks in addition to launching the VIVA Cybersecurity Academy jointly with BIBF to develop local talents.

Nezar Banabeela, VIVA Bahrain CEO said, “Connecting with industry leaders to exchange ideas and to discuss is exactly what is needed to maximise the kingdom’s cybersecurity and personal data law maturity.”

“Our investment in technology through launching and first commercial Security Operation Centre in addition to VIVA’s CYBERSECURITY solutions and cloud computing offerings add significantly to our existing capabilities to help protect businesses in the kingdom against cyber-attacks and enhance the well-being and security of the local community,” he added.
