The new cyber security strategy was introduced as a part of Dubai Plan 2021, and aims to make Dubai the most secure place to live, while creating a smart, integrated and connected city in the world.

Reporting to the press, HH Al Maktoum stressed that developing cyber strategies will enable Dubai to maximise the benefits of technology and ensure readiness for any cyber-related security threats.

"We want to harness technology to create a new reality in Dubai and a different life, a new model of development,” he emphasised.

HH Al Maktoum pointed out that the new strategy will provide an integrated protection against the dangers of cyberspace and support for innovation in cyberspace, therefore adding to the growth of the emirate and its economic prosperity.

He highlighted the UAE’s high ranking at both regional and international levels in providing security for individuals and organisations in the country. He said that this is a result of the efforts of both federal and local governments in the UAE to build a safe and secure environment, which ensures the success of development goals.
