Bosch launches Flexidome panoramic camera range

Bosch recently announced the launch of a new series of panoramic security cameras for indoor and outdoor applications

The Flexidome IP family use fish-eye lenses to offer a full 180- or 360-degree single-image overview with no blindspots, capturing the highest image quality within the field of panoramic video surveillance, the manufacturer said.

The 7000 MP model, for indoor use, offers 12 megapixel sensor resolution at 30 frames per second, while the 5000 MP version, for outdoor applications, combines a five megapixel sensor resolution at 15 frames per second.

Both models include built-in Intelligent Dynamic Noise Reduction, reducing storage costs and network strain by cutting bitrates by up to 50 per cent, without compromising image quality.

The Flexidome IP panoramic 7000 MP also has Bosch’s Intelligent Auto Exposure embedded into the device, eliminating potential disturbances caused by fluctuating front or backlight by adjusting the exposure of the camera to automatically adapt to changing light conditions.

The Flexidome IP panoramic 7000 MP received the Red Dot Award in the category of Product Design in 2015.
