Dubai Health Authority signs MoU with Korea Health Industry Development Institute

(Image source: DHA)The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Korea Health Industry Development Institute to exchange their experiences in the field of specialised medical training and to explore various avenues of collaboration in the health sector

Humaid Al Qatami, chairman of the board and director-general of the DHA, and Dr Lee Young Chan, president of Korea Health Industry Development Institute, signed the MoU at the DHA’s headquarters on 27 March.

Al Qatami highlighted the importance of knowledge sharing and collaboration in today’s globalised world and highlighted the positive impact such collaborations have on patient care and on the growth of the overall health sector.

The two sides will exchange their experiences in the field of specialised medical training and collaborate in healthcare services including medical tourism, technology, best practices and medical education.

He said that the UAE and South Korea already have a strong relationship and many joined goals and projects in different fields, which reflects the confidence in Korea's experience and long experience in various fields, including the health field, which is developing rapidly in both countries.

He pointed out that the development policy implemented by the DHA is open to the world including health institutions, specialised bodies and anyone who wants to learn about the DHA’s successful experiences in the health field.

He also pointed out that DHA is keen to diversify its partnership and to take advantage of the successes of global institutions and learn from their experiences.
