Honeywell’s bionic shield to protect workers

A bionic shield, manufactured by Honeywell, has been launched and offers protection to workers against airborne debris, splash, welding and infrared radiation

The lightweight bionic shield has been designed to work well in hazardous environments, and offers increased protection from debris, according to its manufacturer. The shield provides clear visibility and has a replaceable visor with dual position choices.

The lightweight device, made of polycarbonate, features an ergonomic design for extended use and allows for secure attachment of the visor, while the back of the headgear has a cell foam that cushions the head.

According to Honeywell, workers engaged in industries like agriculture, chemical production, construction, manufacturing, mining, oil and gas, steel and utilities can utilise this bionic shield.

Honeywell’s device meets ANSI Z87+ (High Impact) standards and is certified to the requirements of the CSA Z94.3 standards.
